With consideration for health and safety during COVID-19, Local 2195 will be hosting their boot block electronically this year. The decision was made that it wouldn’t be prudent to place firefighters on the street corners interacting with thousands of citizens over the several days that the boot block occurs.

As many know, the Boot Block is a major contributor to Lee’s Summit Social Services (LSSS) and they still want citizens to have the opportunity to keep LSSS funded. Instead of dropping money in the boot on the corner of 3rd and Douglas, you can make a financial contribution through Paypal to the Lee’s Summit Firefighter Charities. Donations may be made through their website iaff2195.org or their Facebook page. Checks may be made out to Lee’s Summit Firefighters Charities and mailed to 322 SE Douglas St. LS, MO 64063.
