Summit Christian Academy (SCA) recently announced that they will be hosting a grand opening prayer dedication, ribbon cutting and celebration from 8:45 – 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 9 to open the new Fieldhouse and Activity Center. The Fieldhouse & Activity Center is 43,000 ft² and includes an official NCAA sized gymnasium that seats 1200, lockers rooms, a strength and conditioning room, a multipurpose room, a concession stand, restrooms and athletic offices.

Since 1989, SCA has been inspiring students to achieve their God-given potential through excellent academics and Christian training in a compassionate environment. Enrollment has grown steadily for the past decade, and current enrollment is at a historic high with over 1200 early education – 12th grade students. The addition of the SCA Fieldhouse and Activity Center will allow for the entire SCA community to gather together and provide students with increased athletic opportunities and enrichment activities.

“As I have shared over the last year of the building and construction of this new facility, it is not the building, but it is what is built inside the building that matters,” shared SCA Head of School Chris Hahn. “Lives and hearts can be transformed for Christ, and Heaven can get bigger if we have the space and facilities where we can all come together! I am excited for what God plans to do in this new space.”

The school will host the SCA Blue Bash, an evening of basketball games, starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7 as the Eagles will face the Barstow Knights. The student body and SCA families, grandparents and alumni are invited to be part of this historic athletic event.

“We are looking forward to hosting two big events the first week we open our doors for the Fieldhouse & Activity Center,” shared SCA Head of School Chris Hahn. “The SCA Blue Bash on Tuesday, February 7 for all of our families and then our official Ribbon Cutting event on Thursday, February 9 at 8:45 a.m.”
