Wednesday, Sept. 27 was a very good day for the LS West Titans football program. First the Kansas City Chiefs announced the High School Coaches of the Week for Missouri and Kansas, the week four award for Missouri goes to LS West Head Coach Willie Horn. Second, Chiefs Hall of famer Gary Spani visited the Titans practice later in the afternoon to present Horn with his award.

Each honoree every week receives a $500 grant from the Hunt Family, presented a pair of sunglasses courtesy of Oakley and a commemorative Super Bowl 57 coin along with a certificate recognizing their selection. Each coach honored during the season is qualified for the Eric Driskell Coach of the Year award which will be voted on later this fall.

Horn has led Lee’s Summit West to a 5-0 start this season already surpassing their three game win total from last season. The Titans currently sit in first place of the Suburban Gold conference. Now in his second year as head coach at LS West, Horn credits the entire program for this honor. Coach Horn and his Titans take the field again on Friday, Sept. 29 for a conference game against Blue Springs South.
